Kaylee and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

On this trip to Disney's California Adventure Kaylee decided she wanted to go on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror so myself and mom (Judy) with went her.  She didn't show any signs of fear or being scared, in fact I think I was more scared for her then she was!  

 

Next time she should be tall enough for California Screamin'.

Disney's California Adventure Turns 10 Years Old

Today, February 8, 2011 Disney's California Adventure turns 10 years old. The park opened on February 8, 2001 and occupies the former parking lot for Disneyland where we would park when I was kid.  


Although not as popular by the speech given by Walt Disney on July 17, 1955 when Disneyland opened, here is the speech given by Michael Eisner during the opening of Disney California Adventure:

“ To all who believe in the power of dreams, welcome. Disney's California Adventure opens its golden gates to you. Here we pay tribute to the dreamers of the past: the native people, explorers, immigrants, aviators, entrepreneurs and entertainers who built the Golden State. And we salute a new generation of dreamers who are creating the wonders of tomorrow, from the silver screen to the computer screen, from the fertile farmlands to the far reaches of space.
