Five Disneyland Attractions I Miss

Here is the second Disneyland related article I have published on HubPages. Enjoy and if you get a chance vote and comment at the end of the article.

Over the years there have been many attractions at Disneyland that have come and gone. Some were not very successful and are probably not really missed but there are a few rides that if you ask around are missed by a lot of Disneyland fans. I am going to share with you the five attractions that I miss the most and if I could, would bring them back.

The "Partners" Statue

I have recently discovered that I like to write (don't like to read a lot, ask Marsha!) and discovered the HubPages website which lets users write and post articles. So I signed up and posted my first article yesterday.

The "Partners" Statue
It is one of the most photographed, if not THE most photographed structure/object at Disneyland since it debuted almost 18 years ago. You can walk by it anytime day or night and find throngs of people waiting to have their photo taken in front of it . . . I am talking about the “Partners” statue of course!

Calvin in the Jedi Training Academy

On our last day at Disneyland we finally got over to see the Jedi Training Academy in Tomorrowland. It is a live show that teaches the practices of Jedi Knights to the little kids in the audience if you haven't seen it. They select kids from the audience and give them a robe and a light saber. Calvin was lucky and got chosen! He was pretty excited. Just a little hint if your little kid wants to get chosen have them wear something Star Wars or make a huge sign, those kids got picked first! So he was taught a routine and then Darth Vader and Darth Maul came out and the kids got to fight them. Calvin fought Darth Maul and won! LOL

Kaylee and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

On this trip to Disney's California Adventure Kaylee decided she wanted to go on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror so myself and mom (Judy) with went her. She didn't show any signs of fear or being scared, in fact I think I was more scared for her then she was!

Next time she should be tall enough for California Screamin'.

Family Disneyland Trip, June 2011

We took a summer trip to Disneyland Resort last week with Judy (Mom) and Cody. We were there for 6 days and 5 nights and had a great time, but it went by too fast! The newly re-opened Star Tours 3-D (Disneyland) and new Little Mermaid (California Adventure) rides opened recently so we got to ride those. We are home now and recovering from our 2500 mile round trip of fun!

Field of Dreams

Is this heaven? It's Iowa. Iowa? I could have sworn it was heaven. Is there a heaven? Oh yeah. It's the place dreams come true. Maybe this is heaven."

Picked up one of my favorite movies of all time on Blu-Ray the other night at Wal-Mart for only $12.00 and finally got the time to watch it tonight. It has been awhile since I seen this movie so I am excited!

If you have not seen Field of Dreams (could there be anybody?) it is about a Iowa farmer named Ray Kinsella who hears a voice in his corn field tell him, "If you build it, he will come." So he builds the field where his corn used to be and the ghost of Shoeless Joe Jackson and the other seven Chicago White Sox players who were banned for throwing the 1919 World Series appear.

If you haven't seen it you need to!

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the movie -

Jordan's First Soccer Game of the Year

Jordan's first soccer game was last weekend at North Park in Cheyenne. It was a nice day until the wind started blowing, I am guessing 25-30 mph winds! I am not sure if his team chose a name but before the game they were chanting "Crazy Bananas" . . . their uniforms are yellow? He played Fullback (Defense) this game and seemed to enjoy it. He had alot of nice stops on their offensive players and had a chance on one of his takeaways to take to ball all the up the field to try and score but decided to pass it? His coach said they will work on that next practice! LOL. His team won their first game 6-2 and play again this Saturday, lets hope it is not as windy!

Madilynn's Blessing

Because it was General Conference weekend we got permission to have Madilynn blessed at the house instead of at church. Mom (Judy) had not missed any of the kids blessings so we thought it was great we got permission to do it at home the day before she left.

Favorite Baseball Team Logos

I was looking through some old baseball cards the other day and realized how much some team logos have changed throughout the years. Some of my favorite ones growing up are no longer used by their teams anymore. Here are my favorite logos from each Major League Baseball team, some are current logos but most are logos from the past.

AMERICAN LEAGUE

Their current logo looks very similar with a large "KC" replacing the large "R" and small "KC".

This one is close as I actually like their new logo too, but I hate the name Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I prefer the name California Angels.

There wasn't much change from the logo they used from 1962-1998, as it appears the bridge stands out a little more in the current version.
